TRUTH BOMB: YOU NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT TO FIND LOVE
If your head didn't explode, listen carefully to what your Inner Voice is saying right now? Are you hearing something like:
“My soulmate will love me for me – I don’t have to change.”
“If he doesn’t love me overweight, I don’t want him.”
“Aw hell no. I’m fine just the way I am.”
What you’re hearing are brilliant examples of
your critter brain is spinning to trick you into staying stuck right where you are. They are half-truths that play on your darkest fears to make you feel better while keeping you from changing for the better. On the one hand it’s true – your soulmate will love you, he’ll adore you for you just the way you are. On the other hand if you do have something to change, saying “I don’t have to change a thing,” is hardcore denial and fear-based thinking.
It’s a lot easier and less effort to believe “I don’t have to change a thing,” when you do. It’s a big old excuse springing up from fear to keep you stuck. Same with “If someone won’t love me overweight, I don’t want him.” Again, on the one hand, that is true, you wouldn’t want someone who loves you with conditions, but on the other hand it’s like saying,
“If my soulmate will love me just the way I am, then eating healthy, exercising, and taking care of myself doesn’t matter.”
Ah sister, did you hear that? That was your Personal Power flying out the door. Why does you taking care of you have anything to do with anyone else? Why can’t you just take care of you because you’re your own wonderful self? Your body is the one thing you have control over. It is the foundation of your Personal Power. To give that away, to allow yourself to accept less than good health for any reason – because he’ll love me anyway, or I’m young so it doesn’t matter, or I’m old so it doesn’t matter, is giving away your Personal Power.
What’s worse is you probably don’t believe what you’re saying anyway. If you looked down deep into this belief, you might find you are protecting yourself from rejection by planning to find someone who already loves a “non-perfect” you. “If he loves me fat, he’ll love me forever.” That is some strong fear of rejection right there.
Hey, newsflash: you don’t have to be perfect, no one is ever perfect, but personal development and growth means always striving to be your best. You just have to be moving in a forward direction.
Now, before you throw your computer across the room, let me make a very, very clear distinction. Please hear me on this.
You are ALWAYS worthy of love. You are always GOOD ENOUGH for love.
It’s not like, “You’re too fat to be loved,” or “You’re too broke to be loved,” NO, that is not what I’m saying. You are lovable and desirable just as you are this exact minute. I repeat, you do not have to be a size 2 to find love or to be loved. (I’ve been a Weight Watchers member for some time now, and I can assure you, being overweight, even extremely obese, does not preclude you from love.)
But my point is (if you're not looking for love, you can start paying attention now)

Being healthy is the foundation for your entire life.
Being healthy will boost your energy, confidence, and vitality, making dating and finding love easier.
